BOOKING CONDITIONS

Online and Phone Bookings

Full payment is required to secure your online booking. A 1.5% surcharge will apply to all MasterCard and Visa credit card and debit card transactions.

 

A security deposit of $150 is required on check-in by credit card or cash to guarantee payment of any incidental charges (excludes camping). There is no Check-in or Check-out on Christmas Day.

 

Barrington Bar and Grill

Children's Menu is available at the Barrington Bar and Restaurant for children up to 12 years old and includes a complimentary activity pack.

 

Child Rates (1 - 12 years old) 

Boutique Rooms and Cabins

$25 per night per child 

 

Parkland Camping

Children 3 -12 years old camping in the parkland area with their families cost $12 per night per child ($18 per night per child in peak periods). For children under 3 years old, there is no charge.

 

Riverside Camping

Children 3 -12 years old camping by the river with their families cost $18 per night per child ($21 per night per child in peak periods). For children under 3 years old, there is no charge.

 

Adult accommodation rates apply for all children over 12 years old.

 

Minimum Stay

A minimum two-night stay applies for weekends and a whole period over long weekends.

 

Special Packages

Bookings are limited; packages are subject to availability during peak periods and long weekends. Minimum stay applies as described in the published Package Offers.

 

The Homestead

Please note that for bookings of less than 12 guests, we provide one master suite with an ensuite bathroom as part of your room allocation for the rates quoted. A credit card pre-authorisation of $1,200 is required for all stays at the Homestead for any incidentals or accidental damage.

We guarantee guest satisfaction!

If you are not satisfied with your accommodation or the services we provide, please inform our reception staff or management immediately to give them a reasonable opportunity to correct the situation or problem. If we cannot correct the situation to your satisfaction, you may receive a credit of up to one night's room charge.

 

The Riverwood Downs Team is committed to the Satisfaction Guarantee Program. Where a problem identified by a guest is due to a force majeure event (such as fire, flood, storm, explosion, lightning strike, unlawful act against public order or authority, strike, lock-out, area-wide power or gas outage, highway constructions, or any other event beyond the control of the property), this guarantee will not apply.

Cancellation Policy

A full refund, less a 10% administration fee, will be issued for cancellations received in writing 30 days prior to arrival. Refunds for cancellations received within 30 days of arrival or during your stay will only be provided if we are able to secure a replacement booking. No refunds will be given for early check-outs.

In the event of a pandemic or forced closure, the following policy will apply: A credit note valid for 18 months will be issued, allowing you to
re-book your accommodation at a later date. For customers who prefer a refund, we will issue an interim credit note and provide the refund, less a 10% administration fee, once the pandemic passes and normal trading resumes. Any credit due to a postponed booking can be used for future bookings at the current rates at the time of your new stay.

 

Riverwood Downs Pet Policy

Riverwood Downs welcomes pets in its camping area, bunkhouse, cabins, river cottage, selected boutique room accommodation, and unique pet-friendly restaurant. Subject to your pet being under your control at all times, you are welcome to take your pet for walks anywhere on our 

750-acre property. In the interests of the comfort and safety of other guests, owners must always pick up droppings after their pets, wrap them, and place them in the rubbish bins provided. Remember, the east coast of New South Wales has ticks.

 

Conditions: Your pet must be under your control at all times - either on or off-lead, depending upon your pet's training and obedience. Pets must be inside or restrained at night. Pets must be supervised in the accommodation/facilities at all times.

 

Damage or injury It is an explicit condition of you bringing your pet to Riverwood Downs that you accept full responsibility for any damage or injury caused by or to your pet and that you agree to indemnify Riverwood Downs, its servants or agents, against all actions or claims against it howsoever arising from the actions of your pet whilst at Riverwood Downs.

 

Disclaimer: Pets are welcome at Riverwood Downs but only at the pet owners' risk. Riverwood Downs, its servants or agents accept no responsibility or liability for death, illness, injury or accidents of any kind occurring to pets caused by or as a result of visiting Riverwood Downs.

 

Owners are fully responsible for the control and behaviour of their pets at all times whilst at Riverwood Downs.

 

Pets Welcome

Pet-friendly self-contained Cabins, Riverside Spa Cabins, selected Boutique Rooms, Bunkhouses, and Camping are also available for Guests with Pets; extra charges apply.

 

Free Conference Room Hire

This offer is for conferences staying midweek for two nights or more in boutique rooms or cabin accommodation, with Riverwood Downs providing all catering. A minimum of 20 delegates is required to be eligible for this offer.

 

Special Events at Riverwood Downs

It is a condition when booking accommodation for an advertised special event; the event ticket/tickets are purchased directly to the property or through the ticketing site. All guest accommodation bookings will incur the event charge as a compulsory charge if tickets have not been purchased.
